Her parents, Wilma and Jose, are still at-large, and "are wanted for Felony Child Endangerment and other unrelated warrants," police stated in the update on May 3, 2023.

A 5-year-old girl has been missing ever since she was rescued from a house fire, York City Police say.
Dream Alicea fled the scene of the house fire in York City with her parents Wilma Liz Alicea and Jose Luis Alicea Jr. who "have been avoiding contact with police and other agencies," the police said in a release on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
The fire happened in the 500 block of South Queen Street in York on the morning of Saturday, April 29, 2023, according to multiple media outlets. It displaced 18 people, the building had $200,000 worth of damage, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation, CBS21 reported that day citing Fire Chief William Sleeger.
Dream's medical condition– after being pulled from the burning building– is unknown, as she was unable to be assessed at the scene before she disappeared, according to the police.
Jose Alicea has a lengthy criminal record notably including charges in connection with a strangulation in 2020, and a stabbing in 2021.
Wilma and Jose were the victims of a pistol-whipping allegedly at the hands of the father of one of her other children in 2016, as York Daily Record reported at the time. It is unclear if they thought there was some sort of danger to their family, causing them to flee the scene of the fire.
Wilma is wanted by police in York for the felon charge of endangering the welfare of children by a parent in connection with Dream's disappearance, according to court documents.
